I recently wrote a quick letter to my cousin who is serving in the Australia Melbourne mission.  Thought I would share it here!

Hope you’re still doing well! I have a quote for you and missionary work.

“If a means does not contribute to human happiness neither will the end.” – Tolle

Something to think about.  There’s no point in living life miserably so that you can somehow gain a reward in the afterlife.  The Gospel is not a set of restrictions or limitations for this world… but rather a set of pre-defined blessings that can only be reached (reaching happiness along the way) through our obedience.

20 There is a alaw, irrevocably decreed in bheaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all cblessings are predicated—
21 And when we obtain any ablessing from God, it is by bobedience to that law upon which it is predicated.

Make sense?  It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot.  We must find a way to find joy in the journey, and not just in the “end.”  If our means do not contribute to human happiness NOW, neither will the end that we are working so hard to obtain.

    Love ya!
